Dr. Diane Brooks

Dr. Diane Brooks is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatological surgeon with 18 years of experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She earned her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia and completed dermatology residency at Jefferson Dermatology, followed by a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology at the University of Pennsylvania — one of the highest-volume Mohs surgery programmes in the country.

Dr. Brooks is a recognised expert in Mohs micrographic surgery for the treatment of high-risk basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas in cosmetically sensitive and functionally critical anatomical locations. She performs over 600 Mohs procedures annually with outstanding cure rates and cosmetically excellent reconstructive outcomes using local flaps and skin grafts. She also manages complex cutaneous malignancies including melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, and atypical fibroxanthoma.

Her medical dermatology practice encompasses psoriasis — including biologic therapy management — atopic dermatitis, acne, rosacea, autoimmune bullous dermatoses, and cutaneous manifestations of systemic disease. She serves as a consultant to rheumatology and gastroenterology for the dermatological aspects of connective tissue disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and treatment-related skin toxicities.

Dr. Brooks has published on Mohs surgery reconstruction techniques, outcomes in immunosuppressed patients undergoing skin cancer surgery, and biologic therapy for severe plaque psoriasis, appearing in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. She is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology, and has been recognised among the top dermatologists in Pennsylvania for multiple consecutive years. She mentors dermatology residents in Mohs surgery technique and is known for her calm, precise operative style.
