About Silvaris Medical Center — Houston, TX

SilverOak Medical Center Houston is a 560-bed comprehensive hospital located in one of America's great medical cities, maintaining close academic and clinical ties to the Texas Medical Center — the largest medical complex in the world. This proximity positions SilverOak Houston at the nexus of clinical care and discovery, enabling our physicians and scientists to incorporate breakthroughs from neighboring research institutions into everyday patient management at a speed that community hospitals cannot match.

Oncology is one of the defining strengths of SilverOak Houston. Our cancer program, accredited by the Commission on Cancer, provides medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, and stem cell transplantation services in close coordination with Texas Medical Center research initiatives. Our lung cancer program — among the largest in Texas — offers low-dose CT lung cancer screening, robotic-assisted thoracic surgery, endobronchial ultrasound-guided biopsy, and targeted therapy for EGFR-, ALK-, and ROS1-positive non-small cell lung cancer.

Houston's energy industry has shaped a distinctive dimension of SilverOak's clinical expertise: occupational medicine. Our occupational health program provides comprehensive care for workers in the oil, gas, petrochemical, and refinery sectors — managing workplace injuries, toxic chemical exposures, hearing conservation, and fitness-for-duty evaluation with a depth of industrial medicine experience that few hospitals can offer. We maintain on-call relationships with more than 200 Houston-area employers for emergency occupational health response.

Houston is one of the most ethnically diverse large cities in the United States, and SilverOak Medical Center Houston reflects that richness. Our bilingual clinical staff — fluent in English and Spanish — serve the city's large Hispanic community with linguistically appropriate care at every point of contact. Patient education materials are available in 12 languages, and our international patient services team coordinates care for patients traveling to Houston from Mexico, Central America, and the broader Gulf region.
