The Cardiac Electrophysiology & Arrhythmia Centre at SilverOak Health is a subspecialty programme dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of abnormal heart rhythms using catheter-based ablation and cardiac implantable device therapies. Our electrophysiologists hold subspecialty training in complex ablation techniques, three-dimensional electroanatomical mapping, and the full range of device therapies for bradyarrhythmias, tachyarrhythmias, and sudden cardiac death prevention.

Catheter ablation is our most impactful therapeutic offering. Pulmonary vein isolation for atrial fibrillation — using radiofrequency, cryoablation, or pulsed field ablation technology — restores normal sinus rhythm in the majority of patients with symptomatic AF, reducing symptoms and potentially obviating long-term anticoagulation in selected cases. High-density three-dimensional mapping using contemporary electroanatomical systems enables precise delineation of complex arrhythmia substrates for persistent AF, atrial flutter, and ventricular tachycardia, guiding targeted ablation lesion delivery.

For supraventricular tachycardias, accessory pathway ablation in Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, and atrioventricular nodal re-entrant tachycardia, our ablation success rates exceed 97% at initial procedure. Ventricular tachycardia ablation — including epicardial access for scar-mediated VT and idiopathic VT originating from the outflow tracts — is performed by our most experienced electrophysiologists in close collaboration with cardiac intensivists trained in haemodynamic support.

Device therapy services encompass the full range of implantable cardiac devices. Single, dual, and triple-chamber pacemakers, conventional and subcutaneous ICDs, leadless pacemakers entirely implanted within the right ventricle, and cardiac resynchronisation therapy devices are all implanted and managed by our device team. Remote monitoring platforms receive daily device transmissions and generate automatic alerts for actionable arrhythmias, device abnormalities, or fluid status changes, enabling proactive management between clinic visits.

Wearable cardiac monitoring, Holter analysis, implantable loop recorder implantation and interrogation, tilt table testing, electrophysiology study for unexplained syncope, and genetic counselling for channelopathies and inherited arrhythmia syndromes including long QT syndrome, Brugada syndrome, and catecholaminergic polymorphic VT complete our comprehensive arrhythmia service. Our programme outcomes including ablation success, complication rates, and device-related infection rates are prospectively collected and submitted to national and international registries.
