The Urological Sciences Centre at SilverOak Health provides comprehensive surgical and medical management of conditions affecting the urinary tract and male reproductive system, from common conditions such as benign prostatic hyperplasia and kidney stones through complex urological malignancies requiring robotic-assisted surgical resection. Our consultant urologists are fellowship-trained in urological oncology, endourology, functional urology, and reconstructive urology.

Urological oncology is a primary focus, with robotic-assisted prostatectomy, partial and radical nephrectomy, radical cystectomy with urinary diversion (ileal conduit or orthotopic neobladder), and testicular cancer surgery performed by subspecialty-trained oncological urologists within our urological cancer MDT. Our PSMA PET-CT programme enables highly sensitive detection of recurrent prostate cancer at PSA levels below 0.5 ng/mL, guiding salvage therapy decisions. Lutetium-PSMA radioligand therapy for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer is available within our theranostics programme.

Stone disease management encompasses flexible ureteroscopy with holmium laser lithotripsy for ureteric and renal calculi, percutaneous nephrolithotomy for large or staghorn renal stones, and extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy. Metabolic stone evaluation identifies urinary risk factors — hypercalciuria, hyperoxaluria, hypocitraturia, and hyperuricosuria — and guides dietary and pharmacological prevention strategies to reduce the high recurrence rate of urolithiasis. Our stone service operates a 24-hour emergency pathway for obstructing stones and sepsis.

Functional urology services address benign prostatic hyperplasia with a range of treatment options from medical therapy through office-based minimally invasive procedures (Rezūm water vapour therapy, UroLift prostatic urethral lift) and surgical options including HoLEP laser enucleation and TURP. Overactive bladder, stress urinary incontinence, interstitial cystitis, neurogenic bladder, and male incontinence after prostatectomy are managed within dedicated functional urology clinics with conservative, medical, and surgical pathways.

Reconstructive urology — including urethral stricture management with endoscopy and urethroplasty, artificial urinary sphincter implantation, male and female slings, and complex revision procedures — is offered by our reconstructive subspecialist. Erectile dysfunction evaluation and treatment (PDE5 inhibitors, vacuum devices, intracavernosal injection, and penile prosthesis implantation) and Peyronie's disease management complete our andrological services. Urogynaecological collaboration ensures seamless management of female pelvic floor disorders requiring joint urological and gynaecological expertise.
