Dermatology at SilverOak Health provides expert diagnosis and management of the full spectrum of skin, hair, and nail conditions across all age groups. Our consultant dermatologists hold subspecialty interests in inflammatory dermatoses, skin cancer, contact dermatitis, and dermatological surgery, delivering care that combines clinical rigour with an appreciation of the significant psychological impact that visible skin disease inflicts on patients' daily lives and self-esteem.

Medical dermatology services address eczema and atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, acne, rosacea, urticaria and angioedema, autoimmune blistering diseases, vitiligo, alopecia areata, drug reactions, contact dermatitis, and rare inflammatory dermatoses. Advanced systemic therapies including biologics (dupilumab for atopic dermatitis, secukinumab and ixekizumab for psoriasis) and JAK inhibitors are prescribed and monitored within specialist clinics, providing life-changing disease control for patients with severe, recalcitrant conditions.

Skin cancer services include dermoscopy-guided full-body skin examination, reflectance confocal microscopy for non-invasive lesion characterisation, excision biopsy with same-day results for urgent lesions, and Mohs micrographic surgery for high-risk or recurrent facial skin cancers. Our skin cancer MDT reviews all melanoma and complex non-melanoma skin cancer cases weekly. Dermatological surgery capabilities include excision, flap and graft reconstruction, cryotherapy, photodynamic therapy, and laser procedures for benign and malignant conditions. Phototherapy (NB-UVB and PUVA) is available for psoriasis, eczema, and vitiligo.
