About
Dr. Lisa Anderson is a board-certified cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist who trained at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, one of the world's foremost cardiology training programmes. She completed cardiology fellowship and an advanced electrophysiology fellowship at Cleveland Clinic, where she was exposed to a high-volume complex arrhythmia programme encompassing catheter ablation, device implantation, and management of channelopathies and inherited arrhythmia syndromes.
Dr. Anderson specialises in the diagnosis and management of complex supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias. Her procedural practice includes catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardias, and ventricular tachycardia, including scar-based VT ablation in patients with structural heart disease. She implants pacemakers, ICDs, and CRT devices, and has subspecialty interest in cardiac channelopathies including long QT syndrome, Brugada syndrome, and catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia.
Her research programme investigates ventricular arrhythmia substrate mapping strategies and the use of non-invasive imaging — cardiac MRI and CT — to guide ablation planning in patients with arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy and ischaemic VT. She has published in Heart Rhythm and the Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, and presents regularly at Heart Rhythm Society scientific sessions.
Dr. Anderson brings a calm, methodical approach to the care of patients with life-threatening arrhythmias, many of whom present with significant anxiety about their condition. She dedicates substantial time to education about arrhythmia mechanisms, device therapy, and lifestyle factors that influence arrhythmia burden, and works closely with cardiac genetic counsellors when managing families with inherited arrhythmia syndromes. She received Cleveland Clinic's Resident Teaching Award during her fellowship training.
