Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine
The Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine speciality at SilverOak Health provides comprehensive surgical and non-surgical management of conditions affecting bones, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and the spine. Our orthopaedic surgeons are fellowship-trained in joint replacement, sports medicine, spine surgery, hand and upper limb surgery, foot and ankle surgery, and paediatric orthopaedics, enabling subspecialty expertise alongside the breadth of a full orthopaedic service.
Joint replacement surgery — including primary and revision total hip and knee arthroplasty using robotic-arm assistance — is among our highest-volume procedures, delivering reliable pain relief and functional restoration to patients with end-stage osteoarthritis. Our joint replacement programme operates within an enhanced recovery pathway with preoperative education, same-day surgery mobilisation, and structured physiotherapy that enables most patients to be discharged within two to three days.
Sports medicine services address the full spectrum of athletic injuries including ligament and tendon tears, meniscal pathology, cartilage defects, stress fractures, and shoulder instability, using arthroscopic techniques that minimise surgical trauma and maximise speed of return to sport. Our sports medicine physicians provide non-operative sports injury management including platelet-rich plasma injections, ultrasound-guided procedures, and biomechanical analysis. Close collaboration between orthopaedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, and physiotherapists ensures seamless transitions between operative and rehabilitative care.
