Vascular Surgery

Vascular Surgery at SilverOak Health provides comprehensive surgical and endovascular management of diseases affecting the arteries and veins outside the heart and brain. Our vascular surgeons are trained in open surgical reconstruction, endovascular techniques, and hybrid approaches, enabling treatment of the full spectrum of vascular pathology with the optimal strategy for each patient's anatomy, risk profile, and treatment goals.

Arterial conditions managed include abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysms (by endovascular aneurysm repair, EVAR, or open surgery), carotid artery stenosis (by carotid endarterectomy or carotid stenting for stroke prevention), peripheral arterial occlusive disease (by angioplasty, stenting, or bypass surgery), renal artery disease, mesenteric ischaemia, and acute arterial occlusion. Our aortic centre performs complex fenestrated and branched EVAR for juxtarenal and thoracoabdominal aneurysms, providing an endovascular option for patients with unfavourable anatomy for standard EVAR.

Venous services address varicose veins (using endovenous thermal ablation, foam sclerotherapy, and phlebectomy), chronic venous insufficiency, deep vein thrombosis, May-Thurner syndrome, and post-thrombotic syndrome. Our diabetic foot vascular service is integrated with the multidisciplinary wound care and podiatry teams to provide revascularisation for patients with critical limb-threatening ischaemia, reducing major amputation rates through timely restoration of arterial perfusion. All complex vascular cases are discussed at our weekly vascular MDT attended by radiologists, cardiologists, and anaesthesiologists.
