The Nephrology & Urology Centre of Excellence at SilverOak Health is a destination for the most complex kidney and urological conditions, combining the full range of renal replacement therapy, kidney transplantation, and advanced urological surgery under one integrated programme. Our consultant nephrologists, transplant surgeons, and urological surgeons bring deep subspecialty expertise supported by specialist nurses, dietitians, and transplant coordinators.

Nephrology services encompass the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic kidney disease, glomerular diseases, diabetic nephropathy, hypertensive nephrosclerosis, polycystic kidney disease, and multisystem conditions affecting the kidney. Kidney biopsy under ultrasound guidance with rapid specialist pathological reporting provides histological diagnoses that guide targeted immunosuppressive or disease-specific therapy. Comprehensive CKD-mineral bone disorder and anaemia management delay disease progression and reduce end-stage complications.

Our renal replacement therapy programme offers in-centre haemodialysis across three daily shifts, home haemodialysis, automated and continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis, and haemodiafiltration for patients who benefit from high-volume convective clearance. Pre-dialysis education enables patients approaching end-stage renal disease to make unhurried, fully informed decisions about their preferred modality. Our kidney transplant programme performs living and deceased donor transplants with one-year graft survival rates consistently exceeding 95%.

Urological services at our centre cover the full spectrum of conditions affecting the urinary tract and male reproductive system. Robotic-assisted prostatectomy for prostate cancer, partial and radical nephrectomy, radical cystectomy with urinary diversion, and endoscopic management of stone disease using flexible ureteroscopy and laser lithotripsy are among our highest-volume procedures. Urological oncology outcomes including surgical margin rates, continence, and potency recovery are prospectively collected and benchmarked nationally.

Functional urology services address benign prostatic hyperplasia, overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, and erectile dysfunction, with both medical and minimally invasive surgical options. Urogynaecological collaboration ensures seamless joint management of female pelvic floor disorders requiring combined expertise. Every complex case is discussed at our weekly urology MDT to ensure optimal, individualised treatment planning.
