In vitro fertilisation (IVF) with embryo transfer is the most effective assisted reproductive technology available, offering hope to individuals and couples who have been unable to conceive through natural means or less complex fertility treatments. At SilverOak Health's Fertility Centre, our experienced reproductive endocrinologists and embryologists combine cutting-edge laboratory technology with deeply personalised clinical care to maximise each patient's chance of achieving a successful pregnancy.

The IVF process begins with controlled ovarian stimulation using injectable gonadotrophin medications to develop multiple follicles. Progress is monitored through serial transvaginal ultrasounds and hormone assays, with stimulation protocols adjusted in real time to optimise response while minimising the risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS). Egg retrieval is performed under sedation via ultrasound-guided transvaginal aspiration. Retrieved oocytes are fertilised with prepared sperm through conventional insemination or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) when indicated.

Resulting embryos are cultured in our state-of-the-art embryology laboratory using time-lapse imaging, which monitors embryo development continuously without disturbance, enabling selection of the highest-quality embryo for transfer. Preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) can screen embryos for chromosomal abnormalities or inherited genetic conditions before transfer, reducing miscarriage risk and increasing implantation rates in appropriate candidates. Fresh or frozen embryo transfer is planned based on individual clinical circumstances, with luteal phase support optimised to prepare the uterine lining for successful implantation. Our clinical pregnancy rate per transfer cycle is consistently above national benchmarks.
