Gynaecology at SilverOak Health provides comprehensive medical and surgical management of conditions affecting the female reproductive organs throughout a woman's life. Our consultant gynaecologists offer subspecialty expertise in advanced laparoscopic surgery, endometriosis, urogynaecology, gynaecological oncology, and menopause medicine, delivering care that is evidence-based, patient-centred, and sensitive to the intimate and often emotionally significant nature of gynaecological conditions.

Medical conditions managed include menstrual disorders (heavy menstrual bleeding, dysmenorrhoea, amenorrhoea), polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis and adenomyosis, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, pelvic inflammatory disease, chronic pelvic pain, and menopausal symptoms. Our endometriosis service is a recognised centre with specific expertise in deep infiltrating endometriosis surgery involving the bowel, bladder, and ureter, performed in a multidisciplinary setting with colorectal and urological surgeons.

Minimally invasive surgical approaches — total laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic myomectomy, laparoscopic cystectomy, and operative hysteroscopy — are the standard of care for the majority of benign gynaecological surgical conditions in our service, offering patients faster recovery, less post-operative pain, and reduced wound complications. Our urogynaecology clinic provides specialist assessment and comprehensive management of pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence, including conservative treatments (pelvic floor physiotherapy, pessary), urodynamics, and surgical options including colposuspension and sacrocolpopexy.
